Metro Cinema

Located on Station Road at the corner of High Mead in Harrow, Middlesex, today a northern part of Greater London. The former Dominion Cinema on the site was demolished, apart from its splendid Streamline Moderne style facade designed by architect Frank Ernest Bromige. A block of flats was built on the site of the auditorium of the Safari Cinema, and beneath them on the ground floor 3-screens have been created. With seating provided for 70, 100 & 150 they opened as the Metro Cinema on 14th November 2025. Operated by Asif Sahil, as Metro Cinema (Harrow) Ltd., the Metro Cinema will screen a mix of films aimed to be as inclusive as possible to Harrow’s diverse communities. Films in all languages, including English! One of the first films screened was “Christmas Karma” a Bollywood musical inspired by Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”.
