Located in a side street off the Avenida Queiros dos Santo in the city centre. The Cine Tangara was opened by 1950. By 2010 the auditorium had been demolished and the space used for parking.
The front of the building including the foyer areas still stands but has lost most of its external decorative detail. It was in use as a church until they moved out in 2015. The building then stood vacant until 2023 when another church moved in.
