Teatro Grande was a Spanish language movie theatere in tiny La Villa, Texas. The venue was operated by the Benitez Theatre Circuit, one of the Rio Grande Valley’s most important Hispanic movie theatre exhibitors in Hollywood’s Golden Age. The theatre survived into the TV era but eventually went out of business and locals claim that the building no longer is standing.
