The three-screen UA Movies at Trexlertown opened its doors on December 25, 1975 with Burt Reynolds in “Hustle” in Screen 1, Al Pacino in “Dog Day Afternoon” in Screen 2, and Sean Connery in “The Man Who Would Be King” in Screen 3, with an open house happening three days prior.

United Artists operated the theater until June 21, 1992 when it closed for two months. It reopened on August 21, 1992 as an independently-operated discount house. This lasted for another several more years until closing for the final time on October 31, 1999.
