Sunset Theatre

The Sunset Theatre was located in Charleston’s West Side district. It was open by 1941 but soon closed after the owners of the Sunset Theatre built and opened the nearby West Theatre in 1941 (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Sunset Theatre was still listed as (Closed) in the 1943 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. It had reopened by 1950.

The building stood vacant & shuttered in 2007 and remains in that condition in 2025.
