The Capitol Cinema opened its doors on March 12, 1956 with Kirk Douglas in Walt Disney’s “20,000 Leagues Under The Sea”. It was designed by Armando Ronca, one of Italy’s most important architects, and features mahogany walls, a large ultra-panoramic screen, and a dual sound system with 27 speakers in total, including 18 for stereo effects.

In 2001, the Capitol was acquired by the Film Club.
