Dick Larson opened the Oregon City Drive-In in the late-summer of 1952. Its capacity was 350 cars, according to the Motion Picture Almanac.
According to a Facebook group about the drive-in, Larson’s widow Jackie Larson took over the Oregon City and owned it until it closed in 1995.
A 1952 aerial photo showed the drive-in on the southwest side of Oregon City. It was still intact in 1994 but had been razed by 2000, replaced by the church that occupies the site today.
