Park Drive-In

The Park Drive-In, at Fairgrounds Avenue and Encina Avenue, opened on June 10, 1949, according to a story in that day’s Pacific Grove Tribune. It was part of Monterey Theaters Co.

The 1955-56 Theatre Catalog included Monterey’s Park Drive-In, capacity 466 cars, owner United Cal. Ths., Inc.

A 1956 aerial photo showed the drive-in west of the fairgrounds (now the Monterey Pines Golf Club). It was gone by 1966.
