This tiny theater appears on the 1913 Sanborn. It was located in a ramshackle wooden structure which also contained a house and some other businesses.
Brookneal does not appear in the 1914-15 AMPD. Indeed, the 1921 map shows this whole area to be different, with all of the structures replaced, and a new side street. The address is just a guess, as it appears that the theater was located about where the Hotel Brookneal was built by 1921. That building is still there.
It appears that after the Lyric vanished, the town went without a theater for quite a while. A Jefferson Theater appears in the 1931 Yearbook, and seems to have closed shortly afterwards. With no later maps online, I am unsure where it was.
