Theater

This small theater was likely an improvised operation. It appears on the 1921 Sanborn, in the back half of a small one story brick storefront which was constructed sometime after 1915, when the map shows a wooden structure here.

Later maps are not available online, so the history is unclear. The 1926 Yearbook lists two theaters. Even the 175 listed for one seems rather large for this space, although the retail tenant in the front may have moved out.

The building is in good shape today, and is a realtor’s office.
