Hollywood Twin Theatre

The Hollywood Theatre was opened by the Tunick Organization on September 5, 1936 with Clark Gable in “Call of the Wild”. It was a very popular movie theatre, designed in an Art Deco style. It was taken over by R/C Theatres and they twinned it in early-1984. The twin was designed by architects Carl Ganter & John Carroll Dunn with 204-seats and 271-seats. It was destroyed by fire on October 15, 1995.

A new 4-screen was built and opened by R/C Theatres at the same address in 1998. Known as the R/C Hollywood Cinema 4. (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

It was actually twinned in early 1984, as a February 1984 ad confirms that it was already twinned by then.
