Located in the West Berlin inner city district of Charlottenburg at the corner of Kaiserdamm & Meerscheidstrasse. The Splendid-Filmbuhne was built and opened in 1928. It was designed in an Art Deco style to the plans of architects Gustav Neustein & Mitarbeit Peter Neumann with 600-seats, all on a single floor. By 1966 the seating capacity had been reduced to 500-seats and by 1978, it had 320-seats. It was closed in 1978.

It became a supermarket. By 2025 the upper part of the building is in use as the Hotel Amelie while the former cinema on the ground floor is used as the lobby and reception area for the hotel.
