The Palace Theater was a historic downtown entertainment hall and the town’s first general theater. The original building has since been torn down, but local memory of the landmark remains active.

Listed with no capacity in 1956, likely closed. It is listed in the 1953 Yearbook as one of 6 theaters operated by the small Carroll Amusement Co.
Main Street has been renamed. Most of downtown is College St but the eastern section becomes City Hall Ave.
