Tamiami Theatre

The Tamiami Theatre was a historic, small-town movie house. It had openedby 1941. The theatre served as a prime social center for the tiny town. In its early years, it hosted a variety of civic gatherings alongside films, including magic shows, local youth organization events (like the Sea Scouts and Boy Scouts), and educational forums covering highway safety and Florida history. It was listed as (Closed) in the 1943 edition of Film Daily Yearbook. It had reopened by 1950.
