In 1911, architects D. X. Murphy & Bro. converted a building on East Market Street for use as a movie theater. Successful for some time, the Olympic Theatre was listed in the 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory, and was still in operation at least as late as July, 1916, but had gone from the listings by 1926.
