The Roxy Theatre on Kingston Rd. in West Hill, Ontario in 1953. This was four years after it first opened. It was West Hill’s only movie theatre for its entire existence. The Roxy opened its doors on July 4th, 1949, and closed forever on May 13th, 1967. The building was demolished to make way for a gas station and car wash, which itself was demolished to make way for the townhouses that sit on the site today.
