Built by General Cinema the Lima Center Cinema I_II_III was opened on March 31, 1978 with Laurence Olivier in “The Betsy”, Walter Matthau in “Casy’s Shadow” & Tim McIntire in “American Hot Wax”. It was closed on March 2, 2006.

Closed in 2006 when the American Mall Cinemas opened.
General Cinema announced this triplex in 1977 when Lima’s American mall received a 21-store addition by DeBartolo Corp. headed by a Service Merchandise store. Cinema I-II-III opened in 1978.
This opened on March 31st, 1978. Grand opening ad posted.
Closed on March 2, 2006 when Regal opened their nearby American Mall Stadium 12 the following day.

General Cinema operated the theater until July 15, 1987. It was then taken over by Frontier Theatres who operated the theater until it was taken over by Regal in 1990.
