The Star-Lite opened on June 8, 1949 with Bing Crosby in “Pennies From Heaven”. It was operated by the Welworth Theater Co. chain. This single-screen drive-in could accommodate about 600 cars. From the 1970’s, until the time it closed, in 1981, the Star-Lite Drive-In was under the same ownership as the Moon-Lite Drive-In in Moorhead (which was closed seven years later). The drive-in was razed after closing to make way for a strip mall.

Opened with selected short subjects(not named). and “Pennies from heaven”. 600 cars. Site is West Acres Shopping Center.
