This first opened as the Cine 1 & 2 during the 1970s. It was operated by Tentelino Theatres. A third screen was later added by the late-1970s or early-1980s and became the Cine 1-2-3. Two more screens were added by the 1990s and became the Cine 5.
It was closed on February 28, 2023, and never reopened. An October 2024 Google Street View shows that the theater was already dead.
A 1981 aerial view shows the theater building, meaning that it operated as early as that year.
Most likely opened in the early-1980s. I’m very sure Tentelino Theatres was its original operator because they operated both the Border Theatre and the Parkway Drive-In around that same time.
February 28, 2023 is the final date. A burst pipe and argument with the City of International Falls seems to have been the final straw.
