Alamo drafthouse Cinemas will be taking over the operation of this theater ,planning to open during the holidays. This and the former Metro theater Manhattan , nyc area will have 2 Alamo cinemas.

I remember that Wonderama The vIrconic children program on WNEW in the 70-80’s did a road show at this theater.I took part in the snake cans game which I lost.
On the last weekend before Clearview Cinemas closed the theater , no one on staff was there to open the theater.I think it was their was to give the company the finger.

Funny . Im live in Queens and the times of showings is not in New York papers , but other N/A theaters in Westchester are.

Its a discount house with tickets ranges from$1.00 to 2.00. They may hardly have no money for maitenance.

Pete ,thathas been a problem esp. with AMC and Regal. It just laziness of those companies and non expierenced employees
Before it was a porn house ,it was a second run double feature that share billingswithe the Mayfair theater of Fresh Meadows ( now the Bombay theater)
