Located in the southwest London inner-city district of Brixton. The Electric Palace Cinema opened on 11th August 1909. It was located in what had previously been the Trader’s Hall at the corner of Electric Lane and Atlantic Road. It was operated by Electric Palaces Ltd. who also operated the Electric Palace, at Marble Arch on central London’s Oxford Street.

The company went into receivership after August 1914 and the Electric Palace Cinema was closed. It was re-opened by a new operator in 1915, but soon closed.

A branch of Argos stores is now on the site.
