Located in the northwest London inner-city district of Camden Town. The Avenue Picture Palace opened in April 1912. The building was a conversion of a former Baptist Chapel, adjacent to the Camden Town fire station(now demolished) and St. Pancras Way.

Operated by Michael William Shanley, it was a short lived cinema as it closed in 1915, due to conditions brought about by World War I.

The building was later demolished and a block of flats is now on the site.
