Holiday Drive-In

The Holiday Drive-In opened on March 7, 1956, featuring 1956 western “The Indian Fighter” with Kirk Douglas, Elsa Martinelli and Walter Matthau. I believe that it was opened by T. G. Solomon’s Gulf States Theatres. In 1963 they were listed as the operators. Gulf State Theatres owned and operated all the drive-ins in Pensacola starting into the mid-1950’s. It closed in February of 1973. The property now is the location of the Pensacola Ready Mix plant.
