Located in St. Austell, Cornwall. The Public Rooms opened as a cinema known as the Picture Theatre on 1st December 1911. After the end of World War I in 1918 it was taken over by H.J. Watkins and was re-named Cinema. It had a 25ft wide proscenium. It closed at the end of the 1920’s after the supply of silent films dried up.

It reopened as the Savoy Theatre and was equipped with a Film Industries sound system. The Savoy Theatre was still open in 1937 but had closed by 1944.

By 2017 it is a Sports Direct store.
