Located in Trim, County Meath. The Royal Cinema opened on 3rd September 1948 with “Escape” starring Rex Harrison. It had 500 seats and a Walterdaw sound system and was run by James Garry. It continued with a mix of plays and films but struggled after 1973 with a variety contest having had to be abandoned owing to a lack of support. The closing date of the cinema is unclear.
