Grand Theatre

The Grand Theatre is one of the theatres mentioned in the Lawrence Journal-World, April 16, 1999. It was reported there were no less than 10 theatres, which operated along Massachusetts Street from 1900 to 1940. Included were the Nickel Theatre, Lyric Theatre, Aurora Theatre, Grand Theatre, Orea Theatre, Palace Theatre and Patee Theatre.

The Grand Theatre was reported in Moving Picture World November 6, 1910, as being operated by G.B. Jones. It was listed on Sanborn Maps 1912 and was replaced by a printing shop on the 1918 maps. In 2022 an A.T.C 2nd-hand clothing store operates from this address.
