The Opera House was opened by 1897. It had a 26ft wide proscenium and the stage was 26ft deep. The 1914-1915 edition of American Motion Picture Directory lists the Opera House as a movie theatre (the address is given as 23 W. Main Street). It was destroyed by fire in October 1924.
The Hollywood Theater was built on the site (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures)
