Opened on 28th May 1992 by Golden Village, a joint venture between Golden Harvest of Hong Kong and Village Roadshow of Australia, the Yishun 10 was the first multiplex in Asia.
Designed by well-known Australian architect Geoff Malone, the cinema features ten screens and 2,552 seats, which allowed moviegoers to have more choices to choose from for the first time in Singapore.
Between August and October 2010, the cinema was shut for renovation works and was renamed to its current name. It reopened with the same number of halls with a reduced seating capacity of 1,451 as Golden Village’s first green multiplex with eco-friendly features.
