REAKING NEWS: The historic Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro is coming back!
After more than two years behind closed doors, audiences will return to one of San Pedro’s most treasured cultural landmarks this December.
🎭 December 9 — Grand Vision Foundation will host a special sneak peek inside the renovated Warner Grand.
🩰 December 12–14 — San Pedro City Ballet’s beloved Nutcracker will become the first performance back on the Warner Grand stage.
The City of Los Angeles has been undertaking a major renovation of the historic 1931 theater, and while some final work will continue beyond December, this is the moment San Pedro has been waiting for.
The lights are coming back on. The curtain is going up.
This theatre building is not demolished. The correct address is 119 W Main Street. It has been repurposed as a fitness center called “The Bodie Shop.” This name appears on the former theatre marquee which is still in place.
The New Albin City Clerk says the theatre was demolished a while back. The address is 198 Oak Street at First NE. An apartment building stands in the space.

This is a 3-screen theatre according to the website.
Given the film presentation times shown on the website, it is a twin-screen operation.
The theatre is now open. It will be showing the film “The Sound of Music” as a sing along . Scheduled for July 18 2026.
