I posted my own capacity comment because the capacity for #13 was inaccurate and because #19 was not listed.
For theaters that you’ve already shared capacity information for, I only share my own capacity information if I notice something has changed (new format, recliner upgrade, etc), or if I notice something about your comment was inaccurate, aside from excluding the wheelchair spaces.
Yes, at one point Regal Times Square had a SCREENX logo in the lobby, and in 2022, a manager told a Cinema Treasures user about the plan to convert the 4DX theater in auditorium 2 to SCREENX and build a new 4DX in auditorium 12, allowing Regal Times Square to have the World’s Largest 4DX. They were able to convert auditorium 12 to 4DX, but they never converted the 4DX in auditorium 2. I’m guessing they felt having two 4DXes in Times Square was more profitable than having a 4DX and a SCREENX, but personally, I could see them converting auditorium 2 to America’s first ULTRA 4DX in the future.
I’m guessing ridethectrain was comparing the Times Square situation (two 4DX theaters) to the Sherman Oaks situation (two RPX theaters), though the second 4DX at Times Square opened 8 years after the first, and the second RPX at Sherman Oaks Galleria opened 4 days after the first.
Regal has updated the entrance signage. The logo for SCREENX has been replaced by the logo for RPX. For those just joining us, SCREENX was announced for this location nearly 5 years ago, but never installed.
Capacity following the 2025-2026 renovations is 1,662.
Auditorium 5 (formerly ICE Immersive) has re-opened as a standard theater.
Showtimes in auditorium 5 were briefly available on the weekend of January 30th and they were labeled as ICE Immersive, which I thought was odd, given the lack of a surcharge (which was previously around $6), and given that ICE Immersive had removed Regal LA Live from the list of theaters on its website. Showtimes for that auditorium quickly disappeared and it did not get showtimes again until February 21st.
Capacity following the 2025-2026 renovations is 1,768.
This is one of the first five theaters AMC confirmed to be getting a 4DX upgrade. All auditoriums are still open, so it’s most likely going to be an entirely new auditorium.
My capacity information was from Fandango.
