It was first mentioned as the Crystal theatre in the newspapers on September 28th, 1907. It closed in 1952 and reopened by Dickinson theatres as the Kaw Art Cinema on May 6th, 1954, and closed in 1961. Grand opening ad posted.

In 1970, it starts to show adult movies and later leased by Dickinson to adult movie operators who reopens it as the Vegas Cinema on May 11th, 1973. It closed or stopped placing ads in 1977. It reopened or placed its first ad (in the classified ads) on August 12th, 1978 as the Victorian Cinema with the same adult policy. Grand opening ads posted.

The Gage 4 opened the “Screening Room” on Christmas Day, 1970 with 66 seats and using 16mm projection. Grand opening ads posted. It became Gage 5 in 1971 and the fifth screen closed in 1974.
