It was really neat theatre in Raleigh.N.C. I don’t think we are off topic we are talking about a theatre.Nick, has some new Dale-marby drive in ads on now!
You know I always wanted to see"CASTLE KEEP" I have the one-sheet I got out of the Miller Theatre. I am born on his birthday so I guess I have always been a Burt Lancaster fan.I don’t think “CASTLE KEEP” has ever been out on VHS or DVD.From what I read fans of his just disliked an actor of his staure coming out with an R rated movie, this was the late sixties.John Wayne was smarter, for good or bad,he turned down “DIRTY HARRY”.Those old actors had a group of fans and like John Wayne would say “John Wayne doesn’t to this.”
“There was A Crooked Man” is one of my favorite westerns,Fonda is the warden of a prison in the wild west.He knows Douglas has buried his loot for when he breaks out and wants it. Henry Fonda stated it was good Western, but the public had no one to pull for since both the Warden and the outlaw were on the bad side,A good Western with a strong supporting cast. Guess I am off topic, Sontaran 6.
At the Imperial Theatre in Augusta,Georgia we had rats that ran under the stage, behind the screen.I mean, the size of a cat.And we were a Plitt theatre so we had staff to keep the place as clean as possible i will bet the Blue Mouse had more than mice running around.
I would say almost any old downtown theatre had a rat problem.Am I right or Am I wrong,Theatre managers?
A little bit more info for mb848 is that the Quintree Open Air Drive-in parked 800 cars which matches above, that is good, IN 1956 it was owned by Rifkin Circuit which ran a few screens in Massachusetts.
Tlsloews. In Raleigh.N.C. a old movie theatre was converted into A McDonalds.I ate lunch there one time and it was great time.Have to go over to the Raleigh Theatres to find it.It is on my list of theatres somewhere, which would take hours to find it.
Boy,Don’t we all"miss movies the way they use to be."
Most Drive-ins did ;the Skyview Drive-in here in Augusta had Train that ran for the kids.Below the screen.

It held 500 cars and was owned by G.Rubin.
It parked 800 cars and was owned by 101 Theatre Corp, Reeves Espy was the president of that company.
In 1956 it parked 695 cars and was owned by something called the F.P.C.C.

Good old “Uncle” Clint in 1980 photo!
Sadly,if it was here in the States the Velvet chairs would be walked out an exit door by a Thief.
Another reason I quit going to movies.what kind of idiot would pay 10.00 dollars to watch a movie only to play this some stupid hand held computer.

Chuck Norris seems like a nice guy,but he is no where in the league of Eastwood or Bronson.
Thanks Nick,Saw the pictures.
