  • <p>From 1917 to 1925 the Orpheum was operated as the Hippodrome. In addition to the towering blade sign on the theater facade, the Hippodrome also had one of Portland’s ubiquitous horizontal signs over Broadway.</p>

  • <p>Auditorium 8 of the Scotiabank Theatre Halifax in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Taken in October 2022. This is one of the largest auditoriums in the complex, and was equipped for High Frame Rate projection in 2012 for “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”. It has since been the default auditorium for HFR presentations, including “Gemini Man” and the “Avatar” re-release. In about 2017, the auditorium was retrofitted with D-BOX motion seats in the rear three rows. Auditoriums 7, 9 and 10 are almost identical in layout (except that 9 now houses a ScreenX setup).</p>
