The Pitts' Drive-In opened on October 27, 1950 with William Elliott in “Showdown”. It was operated by Benjamin T. Pitts Ct. of Fredericksburg. This drive-in had a capacity for approximately 300 cars. In 1970 the name was changed to Pitts' Culpeper Drive-In. This drive-in closed on September 1, 1985 with Eddie Murphy in “Beverly Hills Cop” & Tom Cruise in “Risky Business”.
