Located in the Country Square Shopping Center. Opened by Budco as a twin on November 13, 1974. By 1978 it had become a triple-screen theatre. It became the AMC Quakertown 6 until about 1998 when Regal opened Richland Crossing 12. It was renamed USA Grand Slam Cinemas in December 1999 and became a second run theater. It was closed on April 30, 2000.

I always assume this theatre was a 5 plex, as the newspaper had it listed. This theatre also was operated by Budco Theatres, who also operated the Doylestown Barn Cinema Theatre (aka AMC Barn 5 Theatre), the Plymouth Cinema Theatre, and the 309 Cinema Theatre (aka AMC 309 Cinema 9 Theatre), to name a few
This opened on November 13th, 1974 Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section for this theatre.
An article in the December 27, 1999 edition of the Allentown Morning Call reported that the former AMC 6 had been reopened as a discount theater called the USA Grand Slam Cinemas.
The USA Grand Slam Cinemas didn’t last long, and closed the following year on April 30, 2000.
There was a short-lived discount theater in Quakertown called the “$2 Theater.” I saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow there. I’m pretty sure it was at this location, which would mean the theater existed and opened sporadically into the mid 2000’s.
An article in the Allentown Morning Call states… “The six-screen movie theater complex in Country Square Shopping Plaza on Route 309 shut its doors two weeks ago after months of staff neglect, said Gina Palmonari, general manager at USA Grand Slam Cinema in Vineland, N.J.
The theater closed a few days after the Bucks County Health Department received a complaint about “unclean food and customer areas,” and “urinals not operating,” according to a county health inspection.
The inspection also noted that “many fruit flies” were seen around the soda dispensers and popcorn maker and that the theaters’ floors were unclean."
The article was posted on Aug 24, 2001. Two weeks prior to that was Aug 10, 2001. So that should be listed as the closing date. Much more information, including quotes from the theatre GM in the article
