The Carmike Wynnsong 11 opened on August 7th, 1998. Grand opening ad posted.
Now AMC Classic Savannah 11 according to AMC’s website.
The Wynnsong is next door to the Regal. I may have a picture some where
WYNNSONG is a Carmike theater name. I think BOTH theaters in this location are CARMIKE THEATERS, sadly!!
If I remember correctly from an article at the time they both opened (August 1998, by the way; I saw “Blade” there opening weekend.), both theater chains wanted the land & I think they were on the verge of filing lawsuits over who staked their claim on the land first when both sides agreed to split the land. It’s a very unusual scenario indeed.

This 10-plex is right next door to Carmike’s 11-plex. There has to be an awesome story behind this.
