The Gem Theatre opened in 1908 on site of the former funeral home, and was renamed the Princess Theatre in 1917.

After extensive renovations (including an all new lobby and snackbar, the Capitol Twin reopened in 2009. All new seats in both theatres, Digital Surround Sound.
