The Tri-County Mall Cinema was opened on December 20, 1974 by Cinema National. The opening program was a Walt Disney double bill: David Hartman in “The Island at the Top of the World” and the animation feature “Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too”. It was taken over by USA Cinemas on October 18, 1986, followed by Loews in April 1989. Taken over by an independent operator it became a discount cinema that closed in December of 2007. The last movie shown was the "Bee Movie".

First operated by CinemaNational. It was taken over by USA Cinemas on October 18, 1986, and Loews took it over in April 1989, who briefly operated it until the following year. Independent ownership took over the Tri-County in 1990.
