Eastview Theatre

This was a small neighbourhood theatre located on the south side of Montreal Road next to the train tracks (now the Vanier Parkway). The Eastview Theatre was opened December 19, 1946 with Paul Henreid in “The Spanish Main”.

It was closed in the mid-1950’s and used as a post office and then an electrical supply depot until it was finally demolished. A building containing retail and offices was built on the site and housed for about fifteen years the multi-screen Vanier Cinema.
