Opened by Transcontinental Theatres on October 21, 1977, this five screen theatre was taken over by AMC in 1980. It was one of a handful of theaters in the Houston area with a 70mm projection and was located in the Westheimer Shopping Center. It was closed on February 5, 1999.

The site is currently occupied by Tuesday Morning.

The Westchase 5 opened on October 21st, 1977 by Transcontinental theatres and later taken over by AMC. Grand opening ad posted.
