Lougheed Drive-In

The Lougheed Drive-In opened on June 30, 1949. It had a car capacity listed at 639. It was operated by Theatre Agencies. The drive-in closed by Famous Players on April 25, 1982 with Lee Horsley in “The Sword and the Sorcerer”. It has since been demolished. There is an office park where the drive-in once stood.

in 1956 i have it parking 639 cars and was owned by THEATRE AGENCIEs.

Famous Players ran the Lougheed Drive-In in its later years. I saved a newspaper clipping of Vancouver-area movie listings from 1974 that shows the Lougheed Drive-In as part of FP.

Opened on 30th June 1949 with “Perils of Pauline”.

Closed on April 25, 1982 with “The Sword And The Sorcerer”, it was unknown if a second film was added before its closure. Famous Players was its last operator.
