If you look closely Mike at this ad and the one you have listed for the Erin Mills town centre, you will notice they are both for this location, the South Common Mall. Cineplex opened this in ‘81 and when they took over Canadian Odeon they renovated this and added a 7th screen. So the opening ad for this one is the re-opening with 7 screens. The ad you have under Erin Mills is the original opening for this location with the 6 original screens.

Found the Cineplex 6 Erin Mills South Common Grand opening ad. It opened on March 12th, 1981, rebuilt and reopened on June 27th, 1986.

Cineplex South Common opened on March 13, 1981. Its opening films include Resurrection, The Mirror Crack’d, Flash Gordon, The Changeling, Good Riddance (Les Bons Débarras), and The Jazz Singer. It later re-opened with seven screens on June 27, 1986. Its opening films include Short Circuit, The Karate Kid Part II, Psycho III, Labyrinth, American Anthem, Back to School, and A Room with a View. Its final day was February 8, 2001. Its final movies include Thirteen Days, The Pledge, Finding Forrester, What Women Want, The Family Man, and Miss Congeniality.

The Cineplex 6 Erin Mills South Common opened its doors by Cineplex on March 12, 1981, and the entire building was later rebuilt, reopening by Cineplex Odeon on June 27, 1986. It was closed on February 8, 2001.
