Osage Theater

The Osage Theatre opened in March of 1940. It burnt down in 1945. It was replaced by the Osage Theatre (later Greater Osage Theatre) which has its own page on Cinema Treasures.

This Particular Theater, The Greater Osage was opened in 1947 and closed in 1971 The Osage Theater before this one was built in 1940-45 which burned down so this one was built .

The Osage Theatre launched March 23, 1940 with Fred McMurray and Barbara Stanwyck in “Cross Country Detroit” supported by a short, “American Saddle Horses.” It burned down prior to its September 14, 1945 showtimes.
