Previous Names: Pastime Theatre
The 290-seat Pastime Theatre was open in the spring of 1909. It was remodelled in 1915. It was rebuilt and enlarged to 500 seats in 1922, and it reopened as the York Theatre on October 8, 1922. From December 1951 until it closed in 1957, it operated as an African-American theatre. The Motion Picture Yearbook lists seats at 300. The theatre has since been demolished.
