Photo shown in the Grand Rapids Judy Garland Museum shows the Savoy Theatre in Superior, WI. Photo dated 1913. The Savoy Theatre was opened on July 3, 1906. By 1926 it was operated by the Finkelstein & Ruben chain. They were taken over by Publix in 1929 and later merged with Paramount Pictures Inc. It was closed in 1932. It was ‘dismantled’ in 1940 and was listed as (Closed) in the 1941 & 1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook.

According to Motion Picture Herald, it was “dismantled” in March 1940.
