Located in the West Towne Mall and opened as a twin by General Cinema Corporation on May 25, 1972 with Michael Jayston in “Nicholas and Alexanda” & Robert Redford in “The Hot Rock”.
In 1981 one theatre was split to form a triplex:
Cinema 1 472 seats
Cinema 2 323 seats
Cinema 3 299 seats
1987 Marcus Theatres takes ownership.
Closed on August 30, 1998 and since demolished. A Toys R Us now stands on the site, which had closed by March 2019.

The Toys R Us is closed and will soon be repurposed or demolished.
The West Towne Cinemas opened its doors by General Cinema on May 25, 1972 with “Nicholas And Alexandria” in Screen 1 and “The Hot Rock” in Screen 2, with an open house five days beforehand. Marcus Theatres took over the theater in January 1987, and operated the theater until its closure on August 30, 1998.
