The Sunset Drive-In was opened around June 30, 1955 when it was operated by J.M. Mahaffey. In 1981 it was renamed Beattyville Drive-In which closed later in 1981.
It is the abandoned property South of Lee Elementary School at 1665 Hwy 11 S, Beattyville, KY 41311.

The road is now labelled as KY-11, Highway 11 wont map properly on Google.
The Sunset Drive-In most likely opened during the week of June 30, 1955, but its grand opening date and advertisement wasn’t found at all. The Sunset Drive-In was briefly renamed the Beattyville Drive-In at the start of the 1981 season, and closed later that same year.
