Paramount, Caruso to Reopen the Bay Theater in Palisades Village The theater, which closed after the wildfires, will be operated by dine-in cinema chain The Lot
Paramount Pictures and Caruso will reopen the iconic Bay Theater in Palisades Village, reviving a destination that shuttered after the devastating wildfires in 2025.
Paramount has selected THE LOT, a luxury dine-in theater chain, to operate the Bay theater when it reopens later this year. A specific date will be announced in the coming weeks.
Upon reopening, the theater “will showcase first-run theatrical releases, alongside nostalgic classics, curated events and special programming, all paired with luxurious seating, state-of-the-art sound and projection, in-theater dining and signature cocktails, an unparalleled guest experience,” the companies said in a press release on Tuesday.
“Together with Caruso, we are proud to help bring the Bay back to life as a place for the Pacific Palisades community to gather around the shared experience of cinema,” said Skydance CEO David Ellison. “This theater has always meant more than movies alone – it’s woven into the fabric of this neighborhood, and helping restore it is a privilege. We’re inspired by the resilience of Pacific Palisades residents, and we’re honored to help support this community’s comeback.”
Rick Caruso, founder of Caruso, added: “Paramount is one of the world’s leading entertainment studios, with an extraordinary legacy of cinematic storytelling and, importantly, a deep commitment to the City of Los Angeles and to the future of the theatrical experience. Sony Pictures owns the Alamo Drafthouse theater chain, and Netflix owns the Egyptian in Los Angeles and the Paris in New York City.

It appears the theatre will be reopening relatively soon, as they have begun searching for senior level management candidates.
Please update, the theatre is still closed as per the website. Hopefully it will reopen

Sounds like a great idea. I have to do the same thing to what happened in Maui and in Mayfield, Kentucky, previously.
it’s amazing what typing a few words into a search engine can do to learn something.
Given where the fires took place, there’s going to be alot of destruction. People have lost homes,lives, pets.
Maybe hold off on questions/posting if one thing is there or not for a bit, just out of respect and empathy to those affected?
Sorry to break the fourth wall, but did the Bay Theatre survived the wildfires at all?
Saw “Operation Mincemeat” there today. My friend and I had theatre 1 to ourselves. They seem to have a deal with Netflix to show their product. The theatres and screens are on the smaller side, yes. The seating is comfortable. The staff are nice.
Also, this page says that there are no theatres to be found within 30 miles, which is untrue. The theatres of Santa Monica are only 5 miles away.

Theatre ticketing is thru Atom Tickets
Nice that they re opened but please such small square flat screens and very little seats. Probably no masking. It should just have been a 2 or 3 plex with larger curved screens and way more seats. All about food and drinks plus over large sleep chairs. I wonder If someone will take over the old Bay Theatre in town if It’s still around and bring in more seats and a larger screen. The movie people in this town have a ton of money to spend on a nice wide screen movie house not some cramped small five screen set up. The new neon sign does look nice.
