Cascade Cinemas

The Tom Moyer Theatres Circuit opened the Cascade Cinema Twin in the Cascade Square in 1976 on a 20-year leasing agreement. Under Larry Moyer’s M Entertainment watch, M closed the downtown Granada Theatre on January 7, 1992 with the Cascade Cinemas continuing.

Bruce Humphrey’s Destiny Theatres took on the venue later that year in November of 1992. He built a more modern four-screen venue as the lease was coming toward expiry. The new Columbia Cinema launched January 26, 1996 operating for 29 years(it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). The Cascade Cinema’s space was repurposed for other retail purposes.
