The Comus Theatre appears in advertisements in the Tupelo Journal as early as October 1912 presenting live entertainments, and is presenting “Great Edison Talking Pictures” by December 12 1913. In The Tuscaloosa News, August 31, 1919 page 13, there is a quarter page ad for Paramount-Artcraft Picture showing at various Mississippi theatres including the Comus Theatre, Tupelo.

The United Daughters of the Confederacy held a meeting at the Comus Theatre, Tupelo, in July 1920.
